Spencer Island is part of the Snohomish River estuary. The walk starts near the sewage plant but it rapidly improves once you get deeper into the park.

I had the opportunity to visit Ohio a couple of times. TheĀ rural country and the tidy farms were gorgeous.

While studying at the UW I often took study breaks and wandered around the campus and the nearby Washington Park Arboretum taking pictures.

Each time I visit Lake Wenatchee the light and clouds are different. This most recent trip was filled with rainbows.

Alfred’s grandmother lived in Little Compton until she passed away last year. We visited mostly at Christmas and a few times during the summer. The shades of grey in the buildings, stone fences and stormy skies are beautiful.

Alfred’s grandfather lives in Sarasota and we have gone to visit several times. Leaving chilly, rainy Seattle and landing in a place with alligators, warm beaches and brilliant blue skies is wonderful if not a bit disorienting.
Brilliant birds at a wildlife park.

Lizards abound on walking trails just outside of Sarasota.
We had just talked about walking down this path when two alligators lunged at each other and fell into the water.
